Having trained over 1500 youth leaders across the country in the year 2011, many of the youth leaders and pastors felt the need to equip the church to be able to conduct their own team training before every course. Many churches that had started the Youth Alpha course wanted to learn better ways of doing the course again. Keeping these needs in mind, we decided to have a Youth Alpha master training in north India. This was held in Lucknow from 10th to 12th Nov. 2011. The master training was attended by 80 youth leaders from 11 different states in north India.
Dr. WenChien, the Regional Youth Alpha & Student Alpha Development Director for Alpha Asia Pacific, was the resource person. The training started with group discussions and feedback from the delegates on how they have run the course so far and how they feel it could be better. This continued on the next day, where Dr. WenChein discussed how one can be an effective trainer. In between, there were sessions on leadership and communication skills. On the last day, the different states were given time to present sessions to each other and share ideas. These were very helpful sessions as they were able to listen from other youth leaders from different parts of the country.
