In Delhi city there are 2.5 lakh students from the North East. In Bible colleges in India 90% of the students are from the North East. In Bangalore, 20% of call centre staff are said to be from the North East. We also find that the majority of staff in health care are from the North East.

Alpha India has been mobilising this Diaspora to meet together and fellowship with one another. Recently we had a new opening for an Alpha training in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. We trained about 94 leaders in Delhi, 41 leaders in Mumbai and 17 student leaders in Bangalore. Rev. Dr. Mathanmi Zimik (Delhi) & Rev. Gleever Lungleng (Mumbai) cooperated with us fully and helped organise the trainings. These two churches and other churches will soon start Alpha course through their leadership. Many of the participants were impressed with the structure of Alpha course.
