The Alpha course in India has exploded over the past few years. From 2010 to 2011, the number of courses running has grown by 32% to 18,221 courses running across the country

Organisational Structure
The office now has 42 staff members (16 work at the headquarters in Bangalore and 26 are in the field). Four regional offices have also been established to look after the administrative work across the country (i.e. publishing materials, maintaining relationships with the field staff and advisers). Lastly, there are 430 advisers spread out across India who support training.

Organizational Structure
The four regional managers oversee the development of Alpha in a particular area of India, usually across multiple states. They look after the translation and publication of materials as well as the field staff and advisers.

Field Coordinators
The 26 field coordinators primarily spend their time introducing Alpha to church leaders, leading trainings and following up with course leaders to collect statistics. At the moment, they are expected to run 4 trainings a month (2 funded by the NAO and 2 sponsored by a local church). Raj hopes that in the future more training events can be sponsored by the local churches.

As Alpha continues to expand in the country, Raj also expects the number of field coordinators to increase. Next year, he will be adding more coordinators

Advisers
There are 430 advisers spread out across India who are volunteers and provide at least one training a month (10 total in a year). They are usually based out of a local church but represent all of the major denominations.

At the moment, the advisers report to the field coordinators but Raj is thinking of releasing them from their oversight which he thinks will enable them to do more trainings a month.
